meet mona.

former doctor. longevity specialist. strength coach.

my journey into health and fitness didn’t start at medical school or in a gym. it started sometime after the birth of my second daughter, when i realised i had lost myself. or perhaps that i had never truly arrived in the first place.

i had struggled with my weight for most of my life and, at this point, i weighed over 100kg. i felt tired, unhealthy, inactive and like a fraction of the person i wanted to be.

having never been particularly active, i tried personal training in a final attempt to make a change, and discovered strength training for the very first time.

what began as a desire simply to lose weight became something much bigger.

i lost over 30kg and have maintained that transformation for over a decade. but more importantly, i discovered strength i never knew i had.

i learned that building muscle wasn’t just about changing how i looked. it changed how i felt, how i moved, how i lived and how i saw myself.

strength training taught me discipline, resilience and confidence, but it also led me to understand that true health is built far beyond the gym.

as my understanding of health evolved, i began to look back at my years working as a doctor through a very different lens.

i realised that so many of the challenges i saw every day - from fatigue, poor sleep, anxiety and low mood, to weight struggles, skin disorders, gut health disturbance, metabolic health issues, high blood pressure, autoimmune and hormonal disruption - were deeply influenced by the foundations of how we live.

our strength, movement, nutrition, sleep, stress, environment, relationships, mindset, recovery and daily habits all play a powerful role in our long-term health.

medicine is incredible at treating illness, but i became increasingly fascinated by the space before illness develops and the years before health starts to decline - and the opportunity we have to support our bodies, strengthen our minds, build resilience and influence the way we age.

i started connecting the dots between my medical training and experience, my own health transformation, strength training and the emerging science of longevity and healthspan.

through this, i began to see health not simply as the absence of disease, but as something we can actively build.

now, in my late 40s, this has never felt more important.

at an age where many people are expected to accept decline; less energy, less strength and less confidence in their bodies, i feel stronger, healthier and more capable than ever. and i believe this is possible for so many of us.

because the fire we build doesn't have to fade, and the embers we carry can always be ignited.

ageing isn’t something to fear. it can open our eyes to the powerful opportunity we have to redefine our future health.

the choices we make today; how we move, nourish, recover and care for ourselves, shape not only how we look and feel now, but how we live for decades to come.

the ember.

the spark.

the flame.

the fire.

health is not simply something we have. it is something we create through the choices we make every day. the way we move, nourish, recover and live shapes not only how we feel today, but our health for decades to come.
